The future of the Homebase branch in Newton Abbot remains precarious as the company has entered administration. Approximately 2,000 jobs are now in jeopardy following Hilco’s decision to place Homebase into administration.

Norton Group Holdings Limited, the parent company of The Range, is set to acquire 70 of Homebase’s stores along with the brand itself, potentially preserving around 1,600 jobs, as reported by the Mid-Devon Advertiser.

However, this acquisition leaves 49 locations and countless positions still vulnerable; information regarding the specific locations of these stores has yet to be disclosed.
